First Nations People in Business

You are invited to our FIRST NATIONS PEOPLE IN BUSINESS event at the Redfern Community Centre where we will be showcasing First Nations business through a panel of guest speakers and launching our First Nations business insight report.

Australia’s First Nations business sector is growing every year.  Many new, exciting and unique First Nations businesses exist across Australia, creating more jobs and generating economic wealth for individuals, families and communities.

This is very much cause for celebration but we need to look at how we maintain this momentum and how we best support First Nations businesses as they find their way through the many barriers and challenges they face to start and grow a successful and sustainable business.

We are excited to bring together a panel of successful First Nations businesses to share their journeys in business.

We also will be launching our First Nations business insights report.  This report highlights many of the struggles and challenges being faced by Indigenous businesses as well as their many successes. 

We have been working with First Nations businesses and the wider business sector to understand what is happening and how we can work together to best support.  The report brings together key findings and recommendations, a great starting point to make a real difference now and ongoing for First Nations businesses.

We are inviting you to connect and learn about First Nations business, what is happening, share in the successes whilst understanding the challenges, opportunities and pathways forward.

We have also will be sharing a great spread on the night from a great First Nations caterer.
