First Peoples' Data Sovereignty - Melbourne Community Workshop
Event description
Are you based in Melbourne or surrounds and would like to learn about First People’s Data Sovereignty and Data Governance? Generally, this is the right for First Peoples to govern the collection, ownership and application of data about them and their communities, lands and resources.
The Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions (DJSIR) is developing a First Peoples' Data Sovereignty Framework and the views of First Peoples across Victoria are being sought to shape the Framework.
The workshop will be delivered in Melbourne by Jaramer Legal on behalf of DJSIR, and it will be a great opportunity to learn more about Data Sovereignty and how it can benefit Indigenous Victorians.
