This month’s special feature:

RAISING AWARENESS OF THE NATIVE AMERICAN PEOPLE AND NATIONHOOD with Tribal Liaison Dmitriy Neezzhoni
This month, we'll be joined by Dmitriy Neezzhoni, Tribal Liaison for Avi Kwa Ame National Monument and member of the Navajo Nation. He’ll be discussing the history of how the unique relationships between the US Government and Native Nations came to be, the nation-to-nation relationship, and about how Native American/tribal citizenship is established. Attendees will also learn about the treaty to the self determination era.
The job of the Tribal Liaison is to work directly with any tribal nation that has ties (historical, spiritual, cultural, etc.) to the Avi Kwa Ame National Monument. Prior to this role, Dmitriy worked for the Bureau of Indian Education within the Navajo Nation where he was an education specialist helping in the revitalization of the Diné (Navajo) language and culture.
After the discussion, our very own movie cowboy Ron Safran will give a guided tour of the ranch house.
