First Sketch
Event description
FIRST SKETCH:
First Sketch is DRILL's choreographic Project for 2024, where four of our young artists have had the opportunity to fully devise and direct their own short works. Presented in a roving performance at Mather's House, the audience will be guided through curious spaces in and around Mathers Lane/Criterion Lane to experience their creative ideas in a short and sweet program. This year, our makers have had the dream chance to work with nipaluna-based sound designer, Jonathan Dieckfoss - curating their own unique scores and strengthening their skills in collaboration. This program gives our emerging makers opportunity to develop choreographic concepts, take risks, test out ideas with mentoring support from DRILL's Artistic Director and create on their peers in a safe and inclusive environment.
PERFORMANCES:
Saturday 14th December 2pm + 5pm Duration: 50 mins
Please arrive at Mather's House 10 mins before the show starts to check in with our team
Please note: this roving performance is mainly outdoors, so please come prepared for any weather and standing/moving through different spaces. If you have specific access requirements, please let us know at the point of booking so we can get in contact and best support your experience. This is an all-ages performance and there will be general public present throughout our roving journey.
