Join us for First Thursdays in Te Hau Kapua - Devonport
Fascinated by the idea of gelli plate printing? Who isn’t. It’s fantastic, fun, bright and easy to do with just a few simple tools and a little bit of paint. In this First Thursday workshop, local print makers Stacey Edgar and Steve Bolton will show you how it’s done. Stacey & Steve will cover the basics, then you’ll be straight into it - printing, layering, developing your ideas and experimenting with image transfer. All materials will be provided, just bring along your creative flair and sense of fun.
Tickets are $60 and cover all materials and refreshments courtesy of our hospitality partner Toi Toi Wines. This workshop is suitable for adults. Koha will be accepted upon entry.
About Stacey & Steve
Steve Bolton is a local artist, painter, cartoonist, muralist, printmaker and sculptor.
Stacey Edgar is a local artist, photographer and printmaker. Known for her photographic work documenting daily life and street scenes, her printmaking draws significant influence from the Bingata tradition of her native Okinawa.
