Fishing for Women
Learn the basics of fishing with the award winning team at 2 Bent Rods.
Fishing from various spots around the Logan area, you will learn new skills and make new friends.
You'll learn different knots, rigs, baits etc, for the different areas and species you'll be fishing for.
This monthly fishing series is designed to empower women of all skill levels with the tools and confidence to fish independently.
Starting with the basics and progressing each month, you’ll gain practical experience in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Participants who attend at least 4 sessions in this series, will go home with a free rod and reel combo.
(Must be Logan Council residents)
All equipment and bait is supplied. This activity is suitable for women aged 45 years and over.

30th November - Doug Larsen Park, Beenleigh
14th December - Doug Larsen Park, Beenleigh
1st February - JJ Smith Park, Marsden
1st March - Tygum Lagoon, Waterford
22nd March - Larry Storey Park, Waterford
Logan City Council has received funding from the Department of Tourism, Innovation and Sport to support women and girls to increase their participation in sport and recreation to make this program possible.
