Join us for this very special feature with the Florida Public Archaeology Network celebrating Manatee County's Hispanic heritage. Explore the days of early commercial fishing when Cuban Spaniards harvested the bountiful resources on Florida shores and waters. Discover the joys and challenges of being an angler in the 1700s and how they became established in the area.
Celebra la herencia hispana del Condado de Manatí en conjunto a la Red de Arqueología Publica en Florida. Ven a explorar la historia de nuestras costas donde muchos pescadores vivieron de los abundantes recursos marítimos. Descubre todos los obstáculos a los que los pescadores se afrentaban en los 1700s mientras se establecían en el área a través de juegos y manualidades. Apropriado para estudiantes de 7-13 de edad. Homeschool Science Club explores scientific and natural concepts through games, crafts, and activities encouraging students to be active outdoors. Guardians are responsible for identifying the learning maturity of their child. Please note the location of this session. Emerson Classroom Pavilion. Reservations Required. Program recommended for students ages 7-13. Don't forget to register for the Waiting List if program is at capacity!
