'Creep at the Nude Beach’ is the debut single by Fishnet Sunburn. Join us on a Sunday afternoon at Cactus Room as we unleash this beast on the world!

The track is a howl of feminist rage, a blast of surf-punk noise, and a kooky summer party anthem, from a band that embraces contradiction: surf and country, ballads and bangers, confession and confrontation.

Fishnet Sunburn’s intimate stories explore queer desire, smashing the patriarchy and the struggles of adulting, with upbeat songs about sadness and haunting songs about love.

Joining them will be Bizarrgo, a punky, melodic and groovy supergroup, oozing sultry, vicious, have-fun-and-be-yourself energy. Notably post-punk at times, then lingering in the rock ’n’ roll pipeline, they explore their impulses and skills together to create a bizarre blend of sounds: something to passionately sing along to or darkly immerse yourself in. Going bizarre in an era of change.

Also on the lineup is Burakashi, a queer refugee artist from Dhivehi Raajjé (the Maldives), whose artistic journey has been shaped by navigating the political unrest and religious extremism of a failing dictatorship. Blending Dhivehi lyrics and South Asian sounds with old-school hip-hop, techno and reggaeton, Burakashi’s music reflects the hypocrisy and hidden truths beneath the troubled waters of their former homeland. Their music takes listeners to the claustrophobic streets of Malé City, where they grew up surrounded by cousins blasting bass music, the frantic boom of bodu beru drums, the endless cacophony of construction, and the constant cheer of nationalistic propaganda.
