FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
- Help! I'm bored/lonely/want to drink a beer at the same time as doing my cardio ...
Come dance with us! No experience necessary, beginners are always welcome, and you can come and go as you please—you don't have to attend consecutive weeks. Whether you're a beginner or an old hand, you’ll have a blast—from the first grapevine to the last hitch!
- Do you only dance to country music?
Country & Western and Americana feature heavily, but we're not purists. Disco, pop, classic rock, and even Y2K electro-pop all make unapologetic appearances. The only rule is that the song is a banger.
- What should I wear?
If you get hot under the collar at the thought of donning your best western, we absolutely encourage this. Chances are, we'll be right there with you. This isn't compulsory, though. Our dancers embrace this to varying degrees and the most important thing is that you're comfortable.
Regarding footwear, cowboy boots are always great, but aren't a necessity. Docs, Blundstones, RM Williams, or similar all work well. Some people wear sneakers—they can be a little sticky but can work, depending on your preferences.
Important: The classes can get a little steamy, so take that into account!
- How difficult are your dances?
Not very—some are dead easy, and some are trickier. We try to include a mix so beginners aren't totally overwhelmed and regulars have something to sink their teeth into.
