Five Bucks - March 'Pool' Party (Melbourne)

Ever wanted to give but weren’t sure where to start? Curious about how collective giving can drive real impact? Got $5 a week to spare?

Five Bucks is a giving circle diversifying ‘who’ gets to be a philanthropist in Australia. Members chip in $5 per week to a pool and once a year, we vote to give grants to impactful charities working across climate, mental wellbeing, education equity and economic empowerment. 

Five Bucks’ first-ever grants are going out in June, so we’re getting together in March to eat, drink, and chat all about our inaugural giving process!

Where and when? 

📍 Wed 19th March, 6–9pm @ Our Community House, North Melbourne / Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Country

🍕 Food, drinks, music and great company
💡 A fun (i.e not boring) rundown of how we selected the orgs invited to apply for grants and how we’ll shortlist their applications for voting (with plenty of time for questions) 

Bring along your friends, neighbours, colleagues, pets - whoever you think might be keen to learn about the community. The more Buckaroos, the merrier (we’re trying to hit 5,000 members this year!)
