Flamenco Singing Workshop through Music Learning Theory

Have you ever wanted to experience the feeling of Flamenco singing, but didn’t know where to start?

Join María de Huelva for a warm, playful and accessible workshop where you will discover Flamenco through listening, singing, rhythm and musical connection.

Inspired by Music Learning Theory (MLT), an approach that aligns naturally with the way Flamenco is traditionally learned — through listening, imitation, repetition and musical experience, this workshop invites you to learn music in a natural and engaging way. You will listen, absorb musical patterns and gradually find your own voice within them. You don’t need to read music or have previous experience with Flamenco singing. Just bring your curiosity and your voice!

Together, we will explore the distinctive sounds, melodies and rhythms of Flamenco, developing your sense of pitch, rhythm, musical memory and confidence along the way.

🌿 What to expect:

Discover the foundations of Flamenco singing
Explore rhythm and compás through the voice and body
Learn Flamenco musical patterns through listening and repetition
Develop your pitch, rhythm and musical confidence
Experience different Flamenco vocal colours and expressions
Sing together in a relaxed and supportive environment
Connect with the music through an enjoyable, hands-on approach.
Work on a Flamenco song through a Music Learning Theory-based approach
A musical transcription of the song will also be available to take home for those who are interested in exploring the music further.

No previous singing or Flamenco experience is needed. Whether you are a complete beginner, a singer, a musician, or simply curious about Flamenco, you are very welcome.

And if you don’t speak Spanish — don’t worry! You can learn a little Spanish naturally through the music and songs as we go.

Come and discover Flamenco not just by learning about it, but by listening, feeling and singing it yourself. ❤️

🎸A special invitation to guitarists!

Guitarists are warmly welcome to join the workshop at half price. This is a unique opportunity to accompany the singing, put your skills into practice, and experience the interaction between Flamenco voice and guitar in a supportive environment.

Please note: only a few discounted places are available for guitarists, so early booking is recommended.

Come and be part of the music!
