What IS flash fiction? Flash fiction is a self-contained story in under 1,000 words. Hmmm...how do we do that?
This workshop will examine the different genres of flash fiction from : mystery, to romance, science fiction, fantasy, and horror. Why is flash fiction gaining in popularity and how you too can experiment with writing and drafting a well-crafted flash fiction story. This course will delve into the approaches to writing flash fiction using various readings and prompts to help craft your works. Word count is part of the editing process.
By the end of this workshop, you will be able to not just write a good flash fiction piece, but gain the confidence required to edit your story and possibly submit it for publication.
