Event description

Chef Tay invites guests to gather for an evening of soulful storytelling through food at the highly anticipated second offering of Flavors of the Northwest, a five-course dinner event that celebrates the heart, history, and richness of Northwest cuisine with a soulful twist.

This second edition of Flavors of the Northwest dives deeper into the flavors that shaped Chef Tay’s journey. Guests can expect a thoughtfully curated, chef-driven experience that reflects both local ingredients and global inspiration.

The 5-Course Menu Includes:

Crispy Cabbage & Herb Salad – A vibrant, crunchy starter featuring seasonal greens and house vinaigrette.

Catfish Fritters & Mushroom Fritters – A crispy Southern-meets-vegetarian appetizer duo, bold and satisfying.

Braised Jerk Brisket with Sweet Potato Purée – The soulful centerpiece: slow-braised jerk brisket with silky sweet potato mash.

Pineapple Ginger Sorbet – A cool, bright palate cleanser with a spicy-sweet tropical kick.

Chef Life Pies – House-made fruit pies baked with flaky crusts and served with love.

One pairing drink of choice.

Seatings at 4pm, 4:30pm, 5pm & 5:30pm. Limited seating – reserve early, tickets will not be available at the door!

Tickets: $50

Flavors of the Northwest is more than a dinner. It’s a journey. A vibe. A flavor-forward celebration of culture, community, and creativity.

Born and raised in Seattle’s Central District, Chef Tay is a culinary artist, community leader, and founder of Chef Life Northwest—a catering brand that brings soulful, Northwest-inspired cuisine to life. He’s also the visionary behind Chef Life Nourish, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering youth and families through culinary education, food sustainability, and real-life workforce skills.

Inspired by family and driven by purpose, Chef Tay blends tradition with innovation, creating food that tells stories and builds community. Whether in the kitchen, the classroom, or the streets of Seattle, Chef Tay serves more than meals.

Chef Tay will also be featured in Back to Our Roots, a two-day celebration of the Black beverage and culinary community at the Northwest African American Museum in July!
