Cotton Tree Beach Bar presents Flavours of the Coast – The Next Wave
In 2024, The Beach Bars introduced us to Flavours of the Coast, an epic sold out degustation event! This year, we’re letting locals pick their favourite Beach Bar venue for Flavours of the Coast – the Next Wave!
Choose from Cotton Tree Beach Bar, Coolum Beach Bar or Kings Beach Bar to experience a flavour sensation like no other, featuring local produce sourced from the Sunshine Coast region.
Each of our beautiful locations allow you to enjoy unrivalled waterfront views and an atmosphere where you can drift through the evening, immersing yourself in the best hospitality experience the Sunshine Coast has to offer.
Arrive at 5:30pm and ease into the evening with a stunning Beach Bar Spritz in hand, before settling in for a 6:00 pm start. Indulge in a seven-course degustation that takes you on a culinary journey, complete with a refreshing palate cleanser between courses and expertly paired wines from Gibson Wines to complement every flavour.
The seven course degustation menu items include:
Karaage Oyster Mushroom -Â Ponzu, pickled karkalla, lotus
Chicken Egg Rolls -Â House made sweet chilli
Seared Scallop -Â Peanut nahn jim, pork floss
Yuzu & Ginger Sorbet
Coconut Mooloolaba Prawn -Â Curry mayo, pickled green papaya
Beef Tataki -Â Furikake, wasabi mayo, soy & ginger caramel
Japanese Cheesecake -Â Miso caramel
Thai Caramel Popcorn
Our gorgeous menu is all thanks to our fabulous local suppliers. We choose to source all our fresh fruits and vegetables from Produce Partner in Maroochydore; they work with local farms directly for all the herbs, leafy greens and fruit.
Markris Foods in Noosa supply us with all our dry goods, sauces and spices; with Prime Cut Meats in Brisbane being responsible for the outstanding Beef Tataki dish. All their beef is sourced from Gympie, and free-range pork from Goondiwindi. And we’d also like to extend our gratitude to Daniel Street Fish Market in Caloundra for our Tasmanian Scallops and Mooloolaba Prawns, making our seared scallops and coconut Mooloolaba Prawn dishes simply exceptional.
