Faculty Learning Community (FLC): Current Topics in Teaching and LearningÂ
Date: ​Eight Wednesdays | January 8, 22; Feb 5, 19; March 5, 19; April 2, 16, 2025​

​​This FLC offers participants the opportunity to engage in a variety of current topics in teaching and learning in a supportive collegial space. Topics will be elicited from participants. Examples of suggested topics to consider may be reimagining grading, academic integrity, courageous conversations. You will have the opportunity to share teaching and learning ideas, engage in thoughtful conversations, meet colleagues from a variety of disciplines, and enjoy this special time devoted to learning and reflection in community. Â
​​*Note: This FLC qualifies as an elective for the Certificate in University Teaching and Learning (CUTL) for those participants who are interested in completing the certificate.​Â

- ​​Reflect on your teaching and learning practice Â
- ​Engage in appreciative, courageous conversations with colleaguesÂ
- ​Feel inspired to apply current teaching and learning strategies to your course offerings and/or to a project of your choosing based on topics coveredÂ
​Additional Outcomes for CUTL Elective Credit:Â
- ​Facilitate an activity on a topic of the community’s choosing Â
- ​Create a small-scale, evidence-based teaching and learning open resource based on topics discussed in the FLC Â
