Flexible Initiatives Trial grant writing workshops - 12 September
Event description
You’ll gain practical advice on preparing your application for the Flexible Initiatives Trial (FIT). Both sessions cover the same content, so simply choose the date that works best for you.
These workshops with the program team will include information sharing and small group discussions, with a focus on:
Budgets – get the most out of your application by thinking big and including all relevant details.
Timeline – how to plan for the implementation of your successful proposal.
Assessment criteria – how to respond to each section of the application to strengthen your grant submission.
Come prepared! The session will be most valuable if you’ve already thought about the initiative you’d like to apply for.
A 30-minute pre-recorded information session is available to watch at your convenience. We recommend viewing it beforehand, as this session will build on the material covered.
The Flexible Initiatives Trial provides grants for eligible providers to test and trial new or adapted operating models over 12 months. For example, this may include:
extending hours of operation beyond traditional working hours
providing flexible pick-up and drop-off times
establishing new family day care services in remote areas
partnering with a public preschool to provide extended or wrap around care arrangements.
Applications for Round 3 close on 9 October.
This is a competitive application process. Don’t miss this chance to understand how to put together a strong application that meets the program requirements.
The Flexible Initiatives Trial is made possible by the NSW Childcare and Economic Opportunity Fund, which is focused on ensuring more NSW families can access affordable, quality ECEC and support increased workforce participation.
