Overview
Women are formidable leaders with diverse thinking, experiences and perspectives. We are strong in much sought-after people skills such as empathy, communication and conflict resolution. We tend to get things done and deliver big outcomes even in high pressure situations, juggling the competing demands of multiple projects.
Yet many of us don’t think we have 'what it takes'. Whatever 'it' is.
This one day interactive introductory course is a taster session for women exploring leadership pathways.
It will introduce you to:
- Your own leadership style and awareness of how others might perceive you
- Self leadership
- Team leadership
- Professional development ideas & workshops
- Discussions with other female leaders
- Common challenges women face in the workplace and how to navigate them
- Group discussions
- A new peer group - sometimes these contacts can support you and your superpowers.
Who's it for?
This course will benefit aspirational women from diverse industries; commercial, local government, not for profit or education. It is aimed at ensuring your pathway to potential can be identified and ultimately, we hope, realised.
Takeaways
- Ideas and action plans to support your future development
- Several tools you can implement immediately in your current role
- Ideas for lifting your leadership profile
- A confidence and focus on the roles you might like to prepare for in the future and the pathways to get there.
