FLINT Queenstown - Show & Tell
Event description
Real people. Real projects. Five minutes at a time.
Welcome to our Show & Tell event in Queenstown! Join us for a fast, friendly (and FREE!) evening where six locals share what they’re building, exploring, or experimenting with. Come curious, leave connected.
Flint is a laid-back show-and-tell night for anyone keen to see what’s bubbling away in Queenstown. Side hustles, creative experiments, community ideas, tech tools, you name it.
We’ll hear from six speakers, five minutes each about something they’re working on, with plenty of Q&A.
What’s on the menu this month?
Kyle is going to be walking us through a new software project (in progress), giving us a peek into how modern tools like Next.js, Supabase, and Tailwind work together. It’s fast, it’s flexible, and it might give you ideas for your own builds.
Chris, From UX and SEO to paid media strategy, Chris knows how to connect the dots. This is a no-fluff walkthrough of how digital really works when you're building a brand that lasts
Gio is going to tell us a hands-on story about building something because it didn’t exist. He’ll share how semantic search, AI, and a bit of persistence helped solve a real problem in the job market.
Billy projects show what happens when smart design meets actual needs. This is tech that cuts waste and delivers value. From a live pricing engine to care home documentation powered by AI.
Plus, more local voices and projects to be announced.
We’ll kick off with casual networking - a chance to meet someone new before the speaking begins. No panels, no pitches, just good people sharing what they’re making and why it matters.
Did we mention it’s free?! Just bring your curiosity.
If you’d got any questions drop us a line roselle@theampersand.co.nz
Otherwise grab a ticket so we know how many beers to order!
Everyone’s welcome - whether you’re hands-on in the tech space, just curious about what’s out there, or figuring out where you fit in the future.
