Flood The Post Crafternoon (online)
Event description
Flood The Post - Protect Trans Youth
Free online Crafternoon - Come together to make some postcards / art.
Saturday 22 Feb at 2pm AEST / QLD (so 3pm AEDT / NSW time)
Everyone is welcome! This event is for people who are not able to get to an in-person event, but would still like to get creative with others, and feel connected to this community event from the comfort of your own space. Allys, friends and family very welcome.
Grab your art materials, some snacks and jump onto the zoom event to get creative together.
- I'll be playing tunes so no pressure to chat or share.
- We can point the cameras to our art making, don't have to have eyes on the screen.
- I'll be online for 30mins, keeping it short and sweet, but you can drop in or out anytime.
Zoom link will be provided to all those who have registered on Saturday morning.
About the facilitator:
Lucian (they/them) is a neurodivergent genderqueer person and active trans ally. They have an art therapy degree, mental health & LGBTQIA+ affirming care training, blue card, yellow card, police check and all that jazz.
This is an easy-going fun community space. It's not a place to share things that are better suited to 1:1 therapy or may upset others.

"Join with hundreds of people across the continent as we flood Health Minister Tim Nicholls with mail and creative artworks. Together, we will call on him to reinstate trans youth health care and make gender-affirming care accessible and affordable for everyone who needs it.
From drawings, to paintings, upcycled artworks, and knitted creations – the only limit is your imagination [and what will fit in the post].
Make a postcard, write your message on the back, address it to:
