Flora Creative Studio is delighted to present Watson & Woods: STORIES, a joint exhibition celebrating the beauty of artistic expression, personal journeys and the stories that shape who we are.

Join us for a special evening as we welcome artists Paula Watson and Joanne Woods to the studio, bringing together two distinct creative practices through original artworks and handcrafted jewellery.

Joanne Woods | Abstract Expressionist Art

Joanne's work is deeply influenced by the natural environment, drawing on visual inspiration, memory and personal interpretation.

Created from a deeply spiritual place, her paintings reflect the experiences and emotions of her life's journey.

Her latest body of work is a particularly personal exploration of grief, expressed through colour, form and the powerful language of abstract art.

Paula Watson | Handcrafted Jewellery

Paula's jewellery practice began in the late 1980s, following her Visual Arts degree and a scholarship to work alongside Tasmanian silversmith Geoff Roberts.

Her latest collection brings together contemporary designs, unfinished works and thoughtfully reimagined pieces from more than 30 years ago.

Working predominantly in silver and gold, Paula creates earrings, pendants and neckpieces, with many pieces being completely unique.

Her work celebrates traditional craftsmanship, individuality and the beauty of breathing new life into treasured materials.

We warmly invite you to enjoy a relaxed evening of art, conversation and connection in the beautiful surrounds of Flora Creative Studio.

Can't make opening night?

STORIES will remain on display at Flora Creative Studio for one month following opening night, with pieces available to view and purchase during regular studio opening hours.
