Event description

The concept of flow is central to life in the Coorong, Lower Lakes, and Murray Mouth (CLLMM) region. Water defines this place—its health, its culture, and its economy. Here, fresh water meets salt, rivers meet the sea, and ancient knowledge meets contemporary science.

Join us for an evening of insights and conversations that explore flow from multiple perspectives—ecological, cultural, social, and economic. This event brings together water managers, First Nations voices, scientists, and community leaders to unpack what flow truly means where the River meets the sea.

Discover how the river is managed, its significance to the region’s Traditional Owners, and the opportunities and challenges we face in a changing climate. From cultural flows to economic production and trade, we’ll paint a full picture of the vital systems that sustain life and livelihoods in the CLLMM region.

This event aligns with the 2025 Nature Festival theme, celebrating the deep connections between people and place.

Join us at the CLLMM Research Centre level 1/ 92 Barrage Road, Goolwa 6pm – 8pm 10 October 2025.
