While you are here make sure to visit and send time with the magnificent Moreton Bay Tree behind the cellar door.

This tree is a frequent nominee for the South Australian Tree of the Year due to its sheer size! It also has quite the history, being planted in 1865, when a seedling was given to the manager of Tintara by the Botanical Garden's Director who believed Moreton Bays were the oak trees of Australia, and he encouraged their planting.

This tree is astounding though to the sheer size of it - providing some 1,105 sqm of canopy and standing 26m tall.
