Description

After an incredible 4th Edition of Flow, we are very excited to welcome you to the 5th Edition of Flow where we continue to strengthen community connection in the Yarra Valley and again bring you an immersive experience through music, dance, breathwork, sound healing and somatic embodiment.

We are looking forward to welcoming our special guest Craig Swindells, who will take us on a meditative journey with his live music using many different instruments and Mia Sund will again join us as a guest, bringing us a beautiful closing Sound Healing.

Badger Creek Hall will once again be transformed into a warm, held space somewhere you can arrive exactly as you are, feel completely safe, and let yourself fully unwind.

Coordinated by locals, our event is community-driven and heart-centred.

About the facilitators:

Craig Swindells - Live Acoustic Meditative Music

Born in Aoteroa, of Maori and European ancestry, Craig naturally gravitated toward music and art from an early age and began performing with his fathers band at festivals and gigs in Alice Springs. Throughout his adult life, Craig’s musical exploration has traversed diverse genres and traditions, gradually leading him toward a profound focus on music as a vehicle for healing, transformation, and transcendence.

A multifaceted artist, Craig has also undertaken formal studies in Fine Arts, developing a visual practice that encompasses art and jewellery Affinitive Designs. His enduring passion for traditional world music has led him to spend many years studying instruments and musical traditions from India, Africa, Turkey, and beyond.

Through Amyriad Music, Craig weaves these influences together with contemporary and ancient elements to create an immersive musical experience. At the heart of Craig’s practice is an intention to create music that nurtures healing, inspires connection, and invites an open-hearted journey toward spiritual awakening.

Mia Sund - Sound Healing

Mia grew up on the North Coast of NSW and began her performance career by accident, while getting work experience for her costume design course on a remote, low-budget set for a film that lost its main actress and had her thrown into the script so the film actually made sense.

Shortly afterwards, she moved to Melbourne to take on a diploma in theatre arts, joined the circus, a folk band and found herself in the festival art scene. She then earned her bachelor's degree, majoring in performance, creative writing, and visual arts, following it up with a master's in secondary education. She has found herself in various productions, projects and courses, all of which have propelled her further onto the unending journey of healing and using her gifts to transform, transmute and transmit magic for others.

In 2019, she began her training with the school of Shamic Women Craft, taking herself more deeply into her ancestral wisdom, tapping into the great mother and other realms. No one thing has brought her to becoming the creator she is still unveiling, still becoming. Her music is an intuitive dance between realms, a truly healing experience.

Julie Jones - Ecstatic Dance

Julie Jones is the alias of Giulia, an Italian-Eritrean artist and DJ blending afro house, tribal techno, progressive, and world music infused with electronic beats into deep, earthy, and uplifting journeys. Her sound unites ancestral percussion, groovy basslines, and atmospheric soundscapes, transporting listeners into a space where rhythm, spirit, and dance connect.

Having performed at renowned festivals and venues across Melbourne and interstate,Julie has become known for her ability to craft sets that are both grounding and ecstatic.Over the years, she has shaped a sound that is distinctly her own, honouring her Eritreanroots while layering rich tribal loops with hypnotic electronic textures. She is the co-founder of The Magic Garden Festival and a resident DJ within the ecstatic dance community, curating transformative dancefloor experiences that invite presence and release.

For Julie, music is more than a beat, it is a call to connect, celebrate, and journey together.Guided by her heritage, her deep understanding of ecstatic dance, and her passion for percussive, powerful sounds, she aspires to lead audiences into mystical realms that echo the essence of primordial rhythms.

𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗮 (𝗞𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁) - 𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸

Sounds of Prana is a grounded and heart-led experience created by Kundalini Project, blending somatic breathwork, immersive sound journeys, and deep embodiment practices. More than a performance, this offering is designed as a transformational space where participants are guided to reconnect with the body, regulate the nervous system, release emotional tension, and enter states of presence, connection, and inner expansion through breath and sound.

Rooted in both ancient ritual and modern sonic landscapes, the experience weaves together organic textures, shamanic elements, ethereal vocals, native flutes, atmospheric instrumentation, and carefully curated frequencies to create a meditative and deeply immersive journey. Each session is intentionally crafted to support emotional release, grounding, introspection, and integration.

Unlike the ecstatic dance journeys of Kundalini Project, Sounds of Prana is fully focused on breathwork, nervous system regulation, meditation, and immersive sound healing — offering a softer, introspective container for restoration, embodiment, and inner connection.

This sacred gathering is held on the stolen land of the sovereign Wurundjeri people. Flow Gathering & The Magic Garden recognises that we have benefited from colonialism to the detriment of First Nations people and acknowledges the Wurundjeri people as the wisdom-keepers of the waters, trees, lands and animals. It is our intention, through this acknowledgement, to help heal the connection between all beings of the larger Kulin Nation, activating the blackfella/whitefella dreaming that has been prophesied to bring us into balance and harmony for the betterment of all.
