Fri, 10 Oct, 9:30am - 12:30pm ACDT

Event description

This community workshop will be held at our newly established native plant seed orchard, to celebrate and explore the role of seeds in ecological restoration and the importance of seasonality and intergenerational caring for nature. The seed orchard itself is a living lab that demonstrates renewal, hope and the flow of life.

Led by a Bio·R ecologist, the event will offer participants an opportunity to learn about the life cycle of native vegetation, from seeds to restoration. If possible (depending on seed maturity) they will also be provided with hands-on-activities such as seed collection.

Attendees will be welcome to bring their own picnic (optional) if they want the opportunity to relax and enjoy the surroundings following the conclusion of the workshop presentation. The event will be held at Frahns Farm (Monarto) at the Seed Orchard location where our new portable Learning Pod has been placed.

Morning tea will be available between 9.30 and 10.00am.
