Flow of Life, Knowledge and Ecology - A Seed Orcharding Workshop
Event description
This community workshop will be held at our native plant seed orchard at Frahns Farm, to celebrate and explore the role of seeds in ecological restoration and the importance of seasonality and intergenerational caring for nature. The seed orchard itself is a living lab that demonstrates renewal, hope and the flow of life.
Led by a Bio·R ecologist, the event will offer participants an opportunity to learn about the life cycle of native vegetation, from seeds to restoration. Depending on seed maturity, participants may also be provided with hands-on-activities, such as seed collection.
Attendees will be welcome to bring their own picnic (optional) if they want the opportunity to relax and enjoy the surroundings following the conclusion of the workshop presentation. The event will be held at the Bio·R Seed Orchard at Frahns Farm, Monarto.
Morning tea will be available between 9.30 and 10.00am.
