Flowers and Spice: A 4-Week Support Circle for Sensitive, Spicy Mothers

- Theia Studios, Woy Woy - Central Coast NSW Australia

In-person and online circles to reconnect with your body, your truth, and your joy.

Flowers and Spice is a 4-week nervous system-nourishing community support circle for sensitive, deep-feeling, and “spicy” mothers navigating overwhelm, fear, and dysregulation — in search of joy, vitality, and belonging.

Together, we’ll gather in a supportive circle (in-person and online) to witness ourselves and each other, explore somatic practices, and tend to the parts of us that are both soft like flowers and fierce like spice.

Expect real talk, gentle movement, laughter, exhale, reconnection, and space for your full humanity.

This Circle if for you if you are feeling:

• Emotionally overwhelmed or overstimulated by life or parenting
• Lonely, even with people around you
• Like your sensitivity or feelings are “too much”
• Pulled between craving rest and needing connection
• The push-pull of anger, shame, fear — alongside a longing for lightness
• A sense of not measuring up, especially in curated motherhood spaces

    FACILITATORS:

    Alita Blanchard

Nervous System-Informed Parent Coach and Holistic Counsellor
    @alitablanchard_ | theawaremama.com.au

As a mother of four energetic, sensitive boys, I’ve walked through the fires of big feelings, meltdowns, and deep overwhelm—my children’s and my own. Along the way, I learned that true connection doesn’t come from control, punishment, or fear. It comes from presence, co-regulation, and compassion—starting with ourselves.

My own parenting journey led me to build a toolkit grounded in nervous system care, vulnerability, and softness. I’ve learned to listen to tears, sit through storms, and hold space for aggression and anxiety without shame. And most importantly, I’ve learned how to support myself so I could show up as the parent I longed to be.

I’m deeply committed to changing the parenting paradigm—from one of perfectionism and pressure to one rooted in safety, worthiness, and connection. As a highly sensitive person raising sensitive, deep-feeling children in a world that often misunderstands us, my work is all about helping mothers become the safest place for their children—by first becoming that for themselves.

I bring lived experience and continued study in trauma, somatics, play, sensory processing, aggression, emotional release, and nervous system healing. It’s an honour to walk this path with you.

    Neuroaffirming Psychotherapist, Artist, and Author

I’m a holistic, integrative psychotherapist living and practicing on the beautiful Central Coast of NSW, Australia. My work is grounded in trauma-informed, client-led, and neuroaffirming principles that honour the uniqueness of every nervous system and every story.

Rather than focusing on symptoms or diagnoses, I support people in reconnecting with their inner truth—working with the whole person, not just parts. Our sessions are collaborative and tailored to you: your pace, your goals, your way of being. We explore through curiosity, creativity, somatics, and presence—gently walking together toward healing and self-remembrance.

As an artist, author, and space holder, I weave together various modalities in a grounded, intuitive way that invites safety and self-expression. My intention is always to co-create space where you feel seen, affirmed, and empowered to come home to yourself.

Whether you're navigating a tender season or seeking a deeper connection with who you are, I’m here to walk beside you with compassion and care.

    TESTIMONIALS / KIND WORDS

I honestly feel like this women's circle, created by Alita, has been the right kind of place I needed to be in for postpartum and my mothering journey. I'd been looking for some kind of community or connections with other mothers who also want to have the real, raw and deep conversations about their motherhood experiences but hadn't found something till this. I've really appreciated the connections made in the group. For the first time since becoming a mum, I felt seen, heard and acknowledged. I was able to truly share without feeling judged or worrying about being ashamed, and without being given unsolicited, unnecessary advice. The teachings that Alita shared were really valuable and applicable to the feelings and experiences of being a mum and I got a lot out of them. I appreciated each person's vulnerability to share their personal experience with me and allow me to do the same with them, and resonated with parts of their story or their feelings. I really felt like I "belonged" and felt in solidarity with other mothers. Thank you Alita for the work you're doing. - Mikal x

Being a part of Belonging has been amazing. Alita is a wealth of knowledge and her approach is so kind and welcoming. Being a part of something as simple as voicing your thoughts and being heard is so incredibly powerful and now knowing I have connections I can reach out to when I need, without the fear of judgement, ego or upsetting others is really special. Thank you Alita. - SM

I gained SO much from the Belonging Mother’s Circle. Alita created a space that allowed us all to be vulnerable and then in turn to feel seen and held. Alita really normalises the challenges of motherhood and gives practical tips that can actually fit within the daily realities of parenting. Belonging has changed my perspective and enabled so much growth for me, I’m really grateful. Emma

Soothed Circle has been the most constructive 3-week circle group I have ever been part of. Alita is highly knowledgeable - and knows what she’s talking about as she shared about her own journey of struggle, grief, guilt in motherhood. I felt beyond validated at any given time and it’s been a safe space for me. So many takeaways, useful tools that I’m able to actively use in my own journey of motherhood. Thanks Alita, you are the best. — NB

I learnt so much about myself, how to be with myself and my children in difficult moments and to have compassion for myself. Alita offers so much wisdom and knowledge and I loved learning with her. I feel so grateful to be able to bring what I learnt into my life with my children. It has been life changing and I continue to see shifts in myself. Soothed Mothers Circle has been so nurturing for me. I have been stuck in quite a negative place, but the vulnerability and compassion showed by Alita and all the other mothers has lifted my spirit. I wasn’t expecting such a positive outcome, but my whole mindset on my motherhood has changed. I now look for the glimmers every day, and appreciating so much more in my life. I am using tools learnt through this to help self regulate and to help my children with their big emotions. I feel I have made connections with my listening partners and am overall so grateful for this wonderful experience. Thank you Alita. — BK
