Event description

After the joy and success of the recent writing workshops in London we’ve decided to move them online so that people outside of the UK can get involved, and to open them up to a larger number of people. Due to demand, this one will cater to those in Asian and Oceanian timezones.

The workshop will be made up of two four-hour virtual lessons. The exact dates are below.

We’ll focus on a wide range of songwriting techniques and philosophies as well as workshopping new ideas. We'll also break down a few Flyte songs, looking at the journey from voice note to final recording. Everyone’s creative voice is and should be unique to them but we also believe there are universal methods and manoeuvres we can use that strengthen those voices and help to overcome potential writers block. Songwriting is a personal art form but it’s also a craft like any other that can be honed and exercised.

These sessions will take the form of talks and lessons. There will be tasks set at the end of each class, and there will be a chance to interact with Will and Nick, in the form of a Q&A at the end of the final workshop. If you’d rather, you can also email in questions through the process, that they will try to answer either at the end of the next session, or at the very end.

The previous in-person workshops have included people from all ranges of experience and the online sessions should be no different. Whether you have years of songwriting under your belt or you’re only just beginning, everything we tackle should be useful to all.
