Description

The Climate & Sustainability Forum is one of the French New Zealand Chamber of Commerce & Industry’s (FNZCCI) flagship annual events, bringing together business leaders, procurement and sustainability professionals, and organisations from across the French-New Zealand business community and beyond.

The 2026 Forum will focus on Supply Diversity & Sustainable Procurement, exploring how businesses can build more diverse and responsible supply chains and respond to growing expectations around how and where products and materials are sourced.

This year's programme takes a practical approach, bringing together business, Māori and Pasifika perspectives and expertise to explore what responsible procurement looks like in practice, from building relationships with Māori and Pasifika-owned suppliers to understanding and addressing risks such as forced and child labour within supply chains.

Speakers & Panellists

Panel 1: Supply Diversity in Practice

What does supply diversity look like in practice? How do businesses build meaningful relationships with Māori and Pasifika-owned suppliers, and what can organisations learn from those already working in this space?

This panel will bring together perspectives from organisations involved in procurement, supplier relationships and Māori engagement, with a focus on practical experience rather than theory.

Panellists:

Anna-Jane Edwards - Manukura, Amotai
Alice Bray-Paroli - Group Procurement Manager, Beca
Berenize Peita - Mātanga - Tikanga me Te Reo Māori, Auckland Council

Panel 2: Sustainable Procurement & Modern Slavery

How well do businesses understand where the products and materials they purchase come from? What risks can exist further down a supply chain, and how can organisations respond to issues such as forced or child labour?

This panel will explore the practical challenges of responsible sourcing, supply-chain transparency and modern slavery, including how businesses can prepare for growing expectations around responsible procurement.

Panellists:

Jessica Wilsher - Senior Associate, Business Law, Jackson Russell
