FOCIS - First Offender Court Intervention Service (in-person)

This program is for people who are required to attend a drug education session as part of a court diversion order, for first-time involvement with the justice system. Check your court paperwork to see if it recommends doing a drug education program, or if it names FOCIS specifically.

This program will provide information about:​

• The effects of using different substances
• Potential risks and harms associated with using
• Substance use and the law
• Strategies to reduce the risks and harms​
• Strategies to assist in making changes​
• Information on where to access supports​

The session will be conversational and interactive and there will be a few written activities that we will cover. You may choose to join in the conversations and discussions and share your goals at the end of the session.
