Focus Group: All residents (English and Mandarin speaking)

Whitehorse households will move to a 4-bin waste and recycling service by 1 July 2027. The move to 4-bins is required by the Victorian Government to meet the Proposed Household Waste and Recycling Service Standards (2024).

The 4-bins include:

• Food organics and garden organics (FOGO) service (lime-green lid)

• Mixed recycling service (yellow-lid)

• Glass recycling service (purple-lid)

• Garbage service (red-lid).

We are considering 2 service options with different collection frequencies for the FOGO and garbage bins:

• 4-bin Service Option 1: Garbage bin collected weekly. FOGO and Recycling bins collected fortnightly, Glass every 4-weeks. 

• 4-bin Service Option 2 : FOGO bin collected weekly. Garbage and Recycling bins collected fortnightly, Glass every 4-weeks. 

We understand that different households have different waste needs. Join this focus group to unpack how we can make 4-bins work best for you and what support you would need.

Each participant who attends will receive a $50 gift voucher.
