Seniors Festival: Follow your FOGO Tour

These tours are part of Whitehorse City Council's Seniors Festival 2024 program and are only for people who live in Whitehorse.
Find out what happens to your garden and organic waste once it is collected, by coming along for an educational tour of Bio Gro’s state of the art organics recovery facility. Bio Gro is working collaboratively with Whitehorse City Council to divert organic material from landfill. The tours are running on Thursday 10 October and Tuesday 22 October. If this event has booked out, please add your name to the waitlist as tickets may become available and future tours may be organised that we can let you know about.
Please note that children are not permitted to attend this event.
Details
Where to meet: Meet out the front of the Nunawading Library (next to the Whitehorse Civic Centre), Nunawading, at 9:30 am to catch a bus to the Dandenong South waste precinct.
What to wear: You must wear closed flat shoes e.g. no high heels or sandals, and appropriate clothes to cover your skin such as pants and long sleeves. You will be provided with a high visibility vest, safety glasses and a hard hat to wear on site. Please advise us if you wear prescription glasses, as we will need to have some special safety glasses ready for you.
What to bring: Please bring a water bottle and any snacks you might want.
Accessibility: Please note that this tour involves walking and climbing stairs.
If you are no longer able to attend, please cancel your ticket via Eventbrite or email wasteteam@whitehorse.vic.gov.au to let us know, so we can make your ticket available to someone else.
