    Folkie Fridays return - a CresFest initiative collaorating with cam and cahntel and team at the iconic Creswick venue- Odessa at Leavers.

    FRIDAY OCTOBER 25

    Cate Taylor - singer songwriter from Melbourne

    Indie-folk singer-songwriter, Cate Taylor launched her long-awaited 2nd album in Nvoember 2023. Cate presents delicately crafted, hauntingly beautiful songs. Her music is rich, natural and grounded in heartfelt, spacious lyrics with a performance style that is authentic and engaging. Working with Amla, violinist, ambient looper and session player also from Melbourne, Cate shares her new songs with Creswick audiences for the first time. With support act from Ballarat, the Dead Beat Daddios, who deliver a heartfelt style of character driven, contemporary folk. Melody and narrative coexist in harmony in songs about love, landscapes, misfits and mistakes, all set to tuneful alt-country grooves.

    Cate will be spported by the Deadbeat Daddios (Ballarat) who are Hugh Martin - vocals, guitar Emilie Martin - vocals, piano, violin Ash MacLean - guitar, pedal steel. 
    Dead Beat Daddios deliver a heartfelt style of character driven, contemporary folk. Melody and narrative coexist in harmony in songs about love, landscapes, misfits and mistakes, all set to tuneful alt-country grooves.
