Follow your FOGO Community Tours

Find out what happens to Whitehorse food and garden organic waste once it is collected, by coming along for an educational tour of Bio Gro’s state of the art organics recovery facility. The tours are running on Tuesday 11 March 2025 and Thursday 13 March 2025. If this event has booked out, please add your name to the waitlist as tickets may become available and future tours may be organised.

Please note that children are not permitted to attend this event.

Details

Where to meet: Meet out the front of the Nunawading Library (next to the Whitehorse Civic Centre), Nunawading, at 9:15 am to catch a bus to the Dandenong South waste precinct. All day parking is available close by near The Round.

What to wear: You must wear closed flat shoes e.g. no high heels or sandals, and appropriate clothes to cover your skin such as pants and long sleeves. You will be provided with a high visibility vest, safety glasses and a hard hat to wear on site. Please advise us if you wear prescription glasses.

What to bring: Please bring a water bottle and any snacks you might want.

Accessibility: Please note that this tour involves walking on uneven surfaces and climbing stairs.
