Food for Thought
Event description
My name is Athira and I have a passion for offering food and thought from the heart, to the heart.
Dive into learning traditional Ayurvedic recipes that are simple, tasty and budget friendly. These are recipes passed down through generations in my family. We will go into everything from sourcing the food to preparing, cooking and eating the food.
The classes will be held in the kitchen of the home I live in (address will be emailed). It will be designed as a free flowing cooking class/ sharing circle where people can engage in the process as much or as little as they want. I will hold the space to talk about whatever is present for the group on the day of gathering. My intention is to hold a safe space for feelings to be expressed and needs to be met, all the while building long lasting community and connection.
The session will be held every Wednesday. The first session is on Wednesday 20th of November.
We will start at 10:30am with a welcome to the space, go through the recipe that we will be cooking and then flow into what that looks like for the coming hours. At the end of preparation, we will share lunch around 12:30pm before wrapping up the gathering at 1:30pm.
I am passionate about the gift economy so these sessions will be purely based on the principle of ‘pay what you can’. Bring cash or transfer payment my bank account.
Please reach out to me for any questions or queries.
You only need to bring yourself and a book and pen to write notes if you want. Looking forward to seeing you all!
