FoodLab Refugee & Migrant Community Garden Launch
Event description
Join us for the launch of the new FoodLab Community Garden! A space for refugees, migrants, and other community members from diverse backgrounds to come together to grow fresh fruit and vegetables, learn new gardening skills, and build meaningful connections. Whether you have donated your time and skills to building this garden as a volunteer, or you are excited to become a volunteer community member of the garden, we warmly invite you along to enjoy eating the first harvest and get your hands in the soil!Â
What to expect:
- Garden planting activity and guided tour with our garden manager, Evelyn Ivinson
- Acknowledgements for all of the supporters involved in launching the garden
- A cooking demonstration by one of the chefs from our FoodLab kitchen
- light refreshments and tastings from FoodLab’s kitchen
- Opportunities to meet other volunteers and hear about getting involved
When: Tuesday 3 December, 4pm - 5:30pm
