Join us for a free community adventure in central Footscray.
Places are limited, and registration is required for everyone attending. Please book your free ticket before the day.
Saturday 7 November 2026
Time: 11:30 am–1:30 pm
Location: Central Footscray. The exact meeting point will be included in your registration confirmation.
A free discovery hunt through the places, people, art and flavours of central Footscray.
Grab an activity booklet and spend an hour exploring central Footscray. You'll complete fun little challenges that take you through local streets, past colourful murals and to places you might never have noticed before.
Whether you’re visiting for the first time or have lived here for years, come and see Footscray from a different perspective.
Explore your way: go on your own, take part with friends or join a small group on the day. If you’d like some company, we’ll help you find a group.
When the hunt is over, we'll meet back for refreshments, a chat and a chance to share what we discovered.
On the day:
11:30 am: Welcome and check-in. We’ll explain how the hunt works, hand out activity booklets and help anyone who would like to join a group.
11:45 am: Let the adventure begin! You’ll have about one hour to explore and complete activities.
12:45 pm: Hunt completes! Return to the meeting point for refreshments and a closing gathering.
1:30 pm: That's a wrap! Hopefully you'll leave knowing a little more about Footscray, having met someone new, and with a few places you'll want to come back to.
Who can join?
We welcome people who live, work or study in Footscray, as well as visitors discovering the neighbourhood for the first time.
You don't need to know anything about Footscray beforehand
It's a relaxed, friendly activity, not a race. The idea is to have fun, discover something new and enjoy exploring together.
Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
Everyone attending needs a free ticket, including children. You can book several tickets at once.

Access
If you have accessibility requirements or would like to discuss whether the activity will suit you, please let us know when you register. We'll do our best to help you participate comfortably.
Food
We’ll provide refreshments at the end. Tell us about any food allergies or dietary requirements when you book.
Weather and changes
A little rain won't stop the adventure! We'll go ahead in light rain, but may need to change or cancel the event if conditions are unsafe.
If anything changes, we'll contact registered participants by email.
Photos
Photos may be taken during Footscray Adventure to capture highlights of the event
When you register, you can choose whether you agree to be photographed. You can still take part if you choose no.
If your preference changes on the day, tell us at check-in. A parent or guardian provides photo consent for children
Can’t come?
As places are limited, please cancel your ticket through Humanitix or email us so someone on the waitlist can take your place.
If tickets are sold out, join the waitlist and we’ll email you if a place opens up.
