Footscray Flix is a four-night pop-up film festival bringing 80s and 90s classics to the heart of Footscray. Think big-screen nostalgia, DJs, cocktails - it's a night out, not just a screening.

THE BIG STEAL

When 18-year-old Danny Clark asks the beautiful Joanna Johnson out on a date, he tells her he owns a Jaguar car, a car he certainly doesn't have, and a car he feels he now must buy to 'prove he isn't lying'. But Danny is ripped-off by an unscrupulous used-car salesman, and when normal avenues of recourse fail, Danny and his mates take revenge on the car yard.

Footscray Flix is a tribute to Footscray's cinematic past, where four large cinemas once operated within 500m of one another. The last of these cinemas closed in 1987. That’s where our programming begins! Four nights of 80s and 90s popcorn classics with a nod to some memorable films of the West.

Enjoy pre-show drinks from Barbarian Brewing and DJs spinning tunes between films. Tickets at 1980s prices!
