For the Love of Trees
Description
Trees are essential to our physical, spiritual and mental health, but some people don't understand their value at all.
Bring your poems and stories about trees and their ecosystems to our open mic, or just sit back and enjoy listening to others.
Our guests Folksome (dynamic duo Dave Winderlich and Deborah Baldassi) and Jane Bower, accompanied on the flute by her sister, will entertain us with modern,
traditional and original songs about our natural world and the unnatural ways we treat it most of the time.
All proceedings will be donated to the Adelaide Parklands Association, which is doing its utmost to preserve what we have left of our magnificent Parklands.
Poets have a max time of three minutes, storytellers a max of five. Please register for the open mic from 6pm.
Drinks available at the bar, bring your own nibbles or grand repast, whatever you prefer.
