Forage and feast presents Harvesting Joy
Event description
Harvesting Joy
A Summer Celebration of Food, Music & Community
As the golden light of summer lingers over Creswick, we gather to celebrate abundance. The flavours of the season, the beauty of community, and the joy of sharing food made with purpose.
Harvesting Joy is more than a dinner, it’s an evening that brings people together around a shared table of local goodness, rescued produce, and zero-waste creativity. From the team behind Happy Scraps, this event honours the growers, makers, and change-makers shaping a more sustainable future for food.
You’ll be welcomed with canapés on arrival, thoughtfully crafted from the region’s best summer ingredients, bright, fresh, and full of flavour. Then settle in for a seasonal harvest buffet, featuring generous dishes that tell the story of where they came from, local farms & businesses turning ‘wonky’ & rescued produce to remarkable plates.
Throughout the evening, the air will hum with the melodic folk sounds of Gone Westerly, the talented local duo behind Busking for Foodbank, whose heartfelt tunes perfectly pair with the spirit of the night. Connection, compassion, and celebration.
Raise a glass of local wine or craft beverage, share a story, and savour every bite in the iconic surrounds of Odessa @ Leaver’s Hotel, where old-world charm meets community warmth.
Together, we’ll toast to the summer harvest, to the land that nourishes us, and to the simple joy that comes from eating well, wasting less, and doing good.
