Forbes Men’s Growth Room Launch Event
Together for Life – Starting Something That Matters
Date: Wednesday, 8 October 2025
Time: 6:00 PM
Venue: Club Forbes
Free to attend | Food and drinks provided
The Forbes Growth Room is opening its doors – and you’re invited to help shape what comes next.
The Growth Room is a place where local blokes come together once a month to talk things through. It’s relaxed, confidential, and built around respect. No forms, no judgement, no pressure—just space to be real, share what’s going on, and support each other.
It’s not therapy. It’s not a lecture. It’s mateship in action.
But we also know men don’t always turn up on their own—so we’re calling on wives, sisters, partners, employers, business owners and community champions to come along too. If you care about the wellbeing of someone in your life, this is for you just as much as it is for them.
Featuring special screening of Just a Farmer:
"Just A Farmer" is a compelling drama that authentically portrays the impact of suicide on a rural Australian family, shedding light on critical mental health issues in farming communities. The film celebrates the resilience of farmers' wives and community support amidst heartbreak, set against the captivating backdrop of rural Victoria.
On the night, you’ll have the chance to:
Learn how Growth Rooms work (and how easy it is to join or help out)
Sign up to attend or become a trained facilitator
Hear from locals and give your input on what Forbes needs
Find out what else Lifeline Central West can offer you and your family
Enjoy food, connection, and real conversation—no icebreakers, no buzzwords
Yes—Lifeline Central West is here for you in Forbes.
We’re more than a crisis line. From financial counselling to community training and rapid outreach, we’re building local support that lasts. The Growth Room is just one way we do that—starting with a simple conversation.
This event is free and open to everyone. While the Growth Room is for men, this launch is for everyone who cares about mental wellbeing, connection, and community strength—in homes, on farms, and in businesses.
Proudly supported by the Mazda Foundation, Forbes Shire Council and GrainCorp.
Special thanks to Club Forbes for generously hosting us for the screening of 'Just a Farmer"
