Event description

UTS Gallery is hosting Cloud Studies, the first solo exhibition Australia by Forensic Architecture.

Forensic Architecture  are a research agency comprised of architects, filmmakers, software developers and other specialists who undertake investigations into human rights abuses, state violence and environmental destruction around the world. Their investigations have been presented in international courtrooms, parliamentary inquiries and United Nations assemblies, as well as major recent exhibitions including Whitney Biennial, 2019; Turner Prize, 2018; Documenta 14, 2017 and Venice Architecture Biennale, 2016.

Cloud Studies brings together eight investigations around the central theme of toxic clouds. Using advanced media techniques and technologies, the work is a large scale single channel video. In a year of bushfire, pandemic and protest, where toxic clouds colonise the air we breathe and shape the way we connect, Cloud Studies presents evidence of perseverance and resistance.

UTS Gallery is offering small in-person group tours with the exhibition curators to UTS Media Arts students. Please select the time that best suits you.
