Event description

Come on a slow guided walk in the forest and experience some of the benefits of this gentle healing practice. Unplug, relax and reconnect with nature, and with yourself.

Led by a certified Nature & Forest Bathing Guide, you'll deepen into your senses through a series of simple invitations. There will be quiet opportunities to explore solo, as well as to come together in community. Wandering and exploring in nature with our curiosity reminds us that we are part of the natural world. You’ll leave feeling nourished, relaxed and inspired.

The walk is approximately 2.5 hours, going a distance of about 1-2 km. At the end we'll close with tea & a light snack.

What is Forest Bathing?
Forest Bathing is a practice that originated in Japan where it is called Shinrin-Yoku, which translates to 'bathing in the forest'. It was established as a preventative health practice in the 1980s that helps us reconnect to the therapeutic benefits of nature. Since then, it has spread world-wide.

Research shows that this guided nature connection has many benefits:

  • Feelings of relaxation & calm

  • Reduces stress & anxiety

  • Elevates mood

  • Enhances creativity

  • Improves sleep

  • Regulates blood pressure

  • Increases immunity, including elevating cancer fighting abilities

  • And much more…
