Forest FACT Tour
Event description
Come and join us for a very enlightening tour over sections of the Northern Jarrah Forest that Alcoa has been mining for 60 years.
We would like to show you a section of current mining to give you an idea of just what they are removing, then we can show you sections of their so called rehabilitation that has occurred over the years and then show you what the forest looked like BEFORE they began mining.
Many people simply do not understand what is happening right on our doorstep. What risk this poses to our health via damage to our drinking water facilities, air pollution, poisoning the soil, and so many more issues that most people never even think of.
There will be several stops where you will be able to get out of the bus and take a short walk, so please dress appropriately to walk in the bush.
WE HAVE TWO PICK UP LOCATIONS,
One at Pioneer Park, Cnr Market St and Short St, Fremantle, leaves at 8am
One at the Community Resource Centre in Mundijong, leaves at 9am
The bus will return to Mundijong at 1pm and return to Fremantle by 2pm
Please select which venue you wish to be picked up from when you buy your ticket.
