Forests for Everyone
Event description
South East Queensland’s public forests— 50,000 hectares stretching from Noosa to the New South Wales border — are at a turning point. With native logging ending across much of this region, the big question is what comes next?
Join us for an evening of community, connection and action as we launch Forests for Everyone, a bold new campaign to protect these forests for nature, recreation and future generations.
This event brings together local speakers who hike, ride and care for these landscapes— along with special guest Sarah Rees, a celebrated forest campaigner who helped end logging of Victoria’s public native forests. We’ll also be joined by outdoor adventure lovers from Outdoors Queensland and by First Nations, acknowledging the deep cultural significance of these lands.
Hear powerful stories, learn how you can get involved and meet others who care deeply about the future of our forests. Whether you’re a nature lover, trail runner, dog walker, or just want more green space for your family— this launch is for you.
Let’s open up these forests— and protect what matters.
Free to attend. All welcome. RSVP essential.
