Event description
This 6-hour workshop addresses the issue of Problematic Substance Use through a 2-generation lens, giving information on the effects of substance use on children and on all members of the family. Information on opioids and their effects on the brain, the Stages of Change and the Stages of Recovery in the context of the Strengthening Families ™ Protective Families framework are discussed. In addition, effective strategies to support the well-being and development of all family members are shared. The training will be presented by Michelle Lennon and Karen Welford.
