Forklift Drivers Course Coburg North (2 Days)

This course will teach you the skills and knowledge you need to safely drive a forklift.  The learning takes place in our Coburg Campus at 6 Marion St Coburg North 3058.  On campus we have a warehouse set up where you can put your theory skills into practice, in a controlled environment, with an expert trainer and assessor guiding you all the way. 

The 2 day course  outlines the specific skills and knowledge necessary to safely operate a forklift truck in compliance with all applicable laws. Satisfactory completion of this course, which includes assessment against WorkSafe Victoria’s requirements, allows an individual to apply for a High-Risk Work License (HRWL) to operate forklift equipment

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

• How old do I have to be to do this course? The minimum age is 18 years old.
• Do I need to hold a driver's license to be able to get my forklift license? No you don't.
• How long does the course go for? The course goes for 2 days.  Each day commences at 8am and finishes at 4pm. 
• Where is the course held? The course is held at TME Coburg North Campus at 6 Marion St Coburg North 3058.
• Am I required to complete both days? Yes, if you have no experience you will need to complete both days with us.
• Am I required to complete both days if I have held a license before? No, if you have held a license and can provide a copy of it, then you will not need to complete two full days.  You will need to discuss this with your trainer to determine the most appropriate time.
• Is this course WorkSafe approved? Yes, this course has undergone compliance checking from WorkSafe Victoria and has met all required standards. 
• What PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is required? You are required to wear your safety boots. We will provide everything else.
  
• Do I get the forklift license as soon as I complete the course satisfactorily? No.  This course is the learning that is required.  Once you complete the course, the trainer will provide instructions on the next steps so you can receive your physical license.
• Why don't I get the license as soon as I finish? You need to create your WorkSafe profile and complete their application process.
• Where do I create my WorkSafe Profile? Once you have completed the course your trainer will upload your information to the WorkSafe portal and you will then receive an email with a link from WorkSafe.  Click the link and you will be able to create your profile.
• Will there be someone helping us through the theory and practical? Yes, we have a dedicated trainer that will look after you through the entire process.
• What happens if I fail the assessment?   You will be offered the opportunity for reassessment.  However this MUST occur within 60 days of your course date.
• Do I need to pay for further training? If you are required to come back to us for re-assessment you will have 60 days to do so for free.  Anything outside of this may incur a charge that we will inform you of.
