Ever wondered what Point Nepean feels like once the day-trippers disappear?

This Wander weekend takes us right to the tip of the Mornington Peninsula for an overnight adventure combining coastal hiking, history, hidden tunnels, incredible scenery and exploring after dark.

We’ll be staying overnight in the Point Nepean Discovery Tents, tucked within the historic Quarantine Station precinct. The tents are already set up for us, so this is camping without having to haul your own tent down or wrestle with tent poles.

During the weekend we’ll explore some of the extraordinary landscapes and history of Point Nepean, including the old military fortifications and tunnel network that once formed part of Melbourne’s coastal defences.

And when the sun goes down… we’re not finished.

🌙 A night hike will be part of the adventure.

Expect a jam-packed itinerary, plenty of walking, beautiful coastal views, a few surprises and a completely different way to experience one of Victoria’s most fascinating national parks.

The Discovery Tents have access to bathrooms with hot showers, toilets and a fully equipped camp kitchen, so this is a pretty comfortable introduction to camping if you haven't done much of it before.
