Event description

The Foundation Service Seminar

The Foundation Service Seminar (FSS) is the ‘FPMT immersion retreat'. It provides essential information and nourishment for all serving, or wishing to serve, in the FPMT organisation.

It is a  five-day experiential retreat which helps us to understand the FPMT’s vision and mission, its history since being founded by Lama Zopa Rinpoche and Lama Yeshe in the early 1970s, and how to offer service within the FPMT. This year the FSS will be offered at Tara Institute, located in Brighton East, an inner city suburb of Melbourne.

The FSS will begin with an introductory session on the Monday evening 28th October followed by full day workshops on the Tuesday through to the Friday. There is a wrap-up and review session on the Saturday finishing by lunchtime.

Participants need to organise their own transport and accommodation. Tara Institute will provide lunch and dinner for participants on-site. Course cost is $500 per person, which includes booking fee.

The facilitators will be François Lecointre, FPMT’s Chief Operating Officer, and Annelies van de Heijden, FPMT teacher and FDCW facilitator based in the Netherlands. To find out more about François' facilitation of the FSS visit HERE and for information about Annelies visit HERE.
