Event description

The University of Canberra (UC), in partnership with Kompozition is pleased to offer a unique and relevant professional short course, Foundations in Digital Mission Engineering.

This short course provides technical and non-technical individuals with the foundational theory, skills and knowledge to work effectively and efficiently within a Mission Engineering process, emphasising the use of advanced simulation and modelling techniques.

Kompozition provides a digital mission engineering platform that enables the development, maintenance and querying of a single, continuous, and integrated digital thread that represent the system of interest, allowing the design, acquisition, integration, assurance and sustainment of fit-for-mission capability.

Over five days, participants will learn from academic and industry experts with in-depth knowledge and experience about applying digital mission engineering techniques to nationally critical, mission-critical, and sometimes safety-critical systems. Participants will explore the core concepts of digital mission engineering, including systems integration, digital twins, and virtual environments and how these connect with the Commonwealth of Australia’s Digital Engineering Strategy 2024. The course will cover key topics such as mission requirements analysis, system-of-systems engineering, and the application of digital mission engineering tools within the Digital Engineering ecosystem to simulate real-world scenarios. Applying what you learn to real-world scenarios, you’ll gain skills that will help you both personally and professionally.
