Event description

What is Founder Stories?
Founder Stories is a series of live virtual fireside chats with a Tank Stream Labs founder each week. We discuss:

  • What they're currently doing
  • What's worked and what hasn't
  • What resources and tools they have used
  • What they have planned for the future

Tank Stream Labs community is home to an incredible knowledge fountain - everyone with their own unique story to tell. Join us every week to listen in on conversations with our talented founders.

Each session will run for 30min followed by a 15min Q&A.

    THIS WEEK'S FOUNDER

    Andrew Sue, Founder, SHFTHEro
Andrew Sue is the Founder of SHFTHero, a freelance platform for the hospitality and events industry. Established in 2018 and launched in late-2019, the SHFTHero app has now expanded to NSW, giving businesses the opportunity to book experienced freelancers at a moments notice and build a reliable contingent workforce. Due to the impact of COVID-19, SHFTHero has adapted to the current environment and pivoted to new opportunities within the industry.
Andrew has a B.Com, Finance and International Business from the University of Sydney.

    We'll be covering with Andrew:

    • How SHFTHero came about
    • How has SHFTHero been impacted by the current situation
    • Hospitality has been one of the hardest hit industries. How they've had to adapt and launch a new initiative: "Who is delivering" & more!

    Who is SHFTHero?
SHFTHero is a gig-economy platform that aspires to change the way the world works. It is one of NSW’s top technology-based staffing solutions. Having launched in Sydney in October 2019, the platform has since expanded across NSW.
Its goal is to fill the gap between the short-staffed and the underemployed, and bring the hospitality industry into the digital age.
The iOS, Android and Web app created a digital marketplace for shift work. SHFTHero empowers job seekers to work when they want, where they want, doing what they love.
Applying a proprietary matching algorithm, SHFTHero finds the best possible match between job seekers and potential employers.
